Prerequisite: autoCAD Operating System or equivalent

Course Description

During the two day course we will take you through all of the features and functionality of AutoCAD. We will look at the following items:

• AutoCAD menus/General AutoCAD Terminology
• The Drawing Editor and User Interface
• Drawing setup procedures
• Basic operating system commands.
• Editing commands, Selection sets, Display commands, Object snaps
• Coordinate Systems
• Configuring AutoCAD
• Inquiry commands
• Plotting/printing techniques
• Creating a symbols library
• Layers, color and line types
• Basic dimensioning techniques
• Crosshatching, text commands, Entity Grips, Utility commands
• Introduction to Model Space and Paper Space concepts
• A brief demonstration of Shading/Rendering

Each attendee is assigned a Dual Monitor workstation with the latest version of AutoCAD Class size is limited to eight students. Training manuals are included and a personalized training Certificate is issued at the completion of the class. Larger class sizes, training at other locations, and customized course material is available under a separate price quotation.
