Not only is this charming stone farmhouse believed to be 300 years old, but it is also thought to be the oldest house in Montgomery County. Built circa 1684 by Nicholas More, a London physician and first Chief Justice of Pennsylvania, who was granted a warrant from William Penn in 1682. (Pennsylvania means Penn's Woods)
Originally named Green Spring, there were 9,815 acres between Buck Road and Pine Road, forming the first settlement in Moreland. In 1718 it became Moreland Township. In 1878 it was divided into Upper and Lower Moreland election districts.
