Community Service

Mr. Fox's strong commitment to the community is reflected by his civic service on the boards of Montgomery County Legal Aid, the Eastern Montgomery County Red Cross, the Jewish Community Relations Council (neighborhood division), Aldersgate Youth Service Bureau, Montgomery County Spinal Cord Association, the American Cancer Society, Manor Junior College, the Willow Grove Senior Citizens Center, the Citizens' Committee for Environmental Control, F & AM Friendship Lodge #400 (Jenkintown), Friends of the Abington Free Library, Glenside Kiwanis, Optimist Club of Lower Montgomery County, North Penn Elks, North Penn VFW, Lansdale American Legion, Abington Senior Citizens Support Council, and the Advisory Council to the Montgomery County Office on Aging and Adult Services.

In 1987, Mr. Fox co-founded the Montgomery County AIDS Task Force which, under his direction, joined with other community health leaders in a bipartisan effort to fight for a referendum which resulted in the creation of the Montgomery County Department of Health in 1989.
