OLD GROWTH ALTAR

This shaped binding is an original design by Karen Stahlecker. Interior papers are handmade of kozo fiber with mosses and other bits of forest environment included in the papermaking. Fragments and objects included are from areas of old growth from Washington, Oregon and Northern California. Shaped covers and hinges are handmade paper by the artist of pigmented kozo and flax. Designed to be opened up into a free-standing altar form. This is a signed and numbered artist-edition of 6.
