My name is Chico Huff, and I play electric bass. My basses of choice are 4 string fretless, 4 , 5 , and 6 string fretted. I've been playing about 25 years. The bass Gods I worship are Jaco Pastorious , Anthony Jackson , Bootsy, James Jamerson, Marcus Miller , and Rocco Prestia foremost, and an ever growing list of new players. Music is one of Gods gifts to me and I constantly try to do justice to that gift. Another gift is my family, a part of which is pictured over there------> Raphaela Huff! My oldest is Asa Huff Next is Jez, then Ari All made possible by My lovely wife, Andrea. God Bless them all!!!
In my career so far, I've had the honor of working with James Taylor, Pat Martino,John Hall (of No Nukes and Orleans fame) Annie Haslam (of Rennaissance), CarlySimon, Jeff Pevar, Seamus Egan, Jeff Golub, Kit Walker and many other wonderful musicians.
Since moving to Philly, I've discovered a wealth of players to work with and learn from. Some of them are John Swana, Dave Posmontier, Greg Davis, Wally Smith, Ronny Crawford, Jim Ridle, Steve Holloway, John Blake, Jef Lee Johnson, Jeff S. Colluci ( Thanks for the Jaco autograph and the good grooves!) etc. I feel blessed to have been given the gift of being able to create music, and try never to take it for granted.
