(Self-Imposed Discipline Distortion)

The Internet Motion Picture

Take a Seat for the Show

Take-home Version | Multimedia Help Desk

SIDD is what 2001 was. Except, SIDD is non-fiction. And, SIDD lives.

The Frankenstein Analogy

SIDD is similar to Frankenstein in several ways: In SIDD's case the *spark* happened one weekend via the Internet. The band got together to experiment with live Internet broadcasting and consider the ram-if-a_cations of self-imposed discipline distortion... but, they were shy one (1) bass player. A ha. What better way to examine the ability of an individual to distort their own disciplines? So, the thinkin' went on sumpin' like this:

Let's recruit a new bass player... one who has never played the bass before... nor need they have ever played any musical instrument. Hey. And, while we're at it, why not broadcast it live to the World Stage?

Sure. We'll film and document a bunch of human guinea pigs trying to alter their frame of reverence... as individuals... and as a group. Yeah. And, how about finding other resources to create a documentary of the experiment? A show about the Big Show. A showing of how the world, as predicted in familiar sci-fi sorts-of ways, has arrived. A technological globilization of mankind -- sci-non-fi.

Right. Then it looks like we have our work cut-out for us. We best go to The Membrane Domain and see if we can find:

Assembling volunteers as they went along, SIDD's guts came together.

Today, as always, SIDD is undergoing a metamorphosis... a reflection of your interaction.

So, please... tune into SIDD.

Help usher in the age of Aquarius.

Experience the flattening of the universe.
