This music video is about
peace, love & understanding.
After all, what's so funny about it?
Did you happen to see the Lenny Kravitz special?
He was talking about his style of music...
and the song,
Let Love Rule.
And, when people give em' a hard time about
the "love" music... he says:
In a seemingly unrelated event,
I saw Elvis Costello
at the Tower Theater...
and, was pleasantly surprised at
how "lovable" the audience, Steve Nieve,
and Elvis Costello were.
In fact, we hung out after the show and met 'em...
which was a surprise. Since we had seen him arrive,
and barely got to glimpse more than the top of his
bowler. He just darted through the stage door.
But, after the show he and Steve hung out for autographs
and pictures.
So, I'm thinking... lets do a Lenny Kravitz
inspired version of the Elvis Costello cover
song...
What's so Funny 'bout Peace, Love
& Understanding?
Written by Nick Lowe
As I walk through this wicked world,
And, as I walk on through troubled times,
Well, we
still ain't got it right... so, I'm gonna
keep singin' about it 'till we do.

Searching for light in the darkness of insanity.
I ask myself, "is all hope lost?
Is there only pain and hatred and misery?"
And, each time I feel like this inside,
There's one thing I want to know.
What's so funny 'bout peace, love and understanding?
Oh, what's so funny 'bout peace, love and understanding?
My spirit gets so downhearted sometimes.
So, where are the strong?
And, who are the trusted?
And, where is that harmony? (Sweet harmony)
'Cause each time I feel it slipping away,
Just makes me want to cry
What's so funny bout peace, love and understanding?
